SOUTH BEND - Virginia M. Kush, 88, passed away on June 16, 2008, at 4:35 a.m. in Holy Cross Care and Rehabilitation. Virginia was born on July 12, 1919, in New Castle, IN, to the late William and Ada (Lax) Tindall. On August 5, 1944, she married Casimir Kush, who preceded her in death on May 2, 1985. She was also preceded in death by her son, Michael; a sister, Mary Gerdes; and by two brothers, Donald Tindall and Gene Tindall. She is survived by her two children, Cynthia Sult of Mishawaka, IN, and Patrick (Jeane) Kush of South Bend; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and by three brothers, Orville (Jackie) Tindall "Uncle Fody" of Granger, Harold Tindall of California and William Tindall of Connecticut. Virginia was a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church. She loved gardening and spending time with her grandkids. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and bingo. Visitation will be today, June 18, from 3 to 7 p.m. in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be prayed at 4 p.m. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, June 19, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637. For those who are unable to attend the funeral liturgy, condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
