Veronica Herczeg
nee Bella
January 28, 1911 - July 22, 1996

Beloved Mother and Grand-mother, Veronica Herczeg, 85, of New Road in South Bend died Monday, July 22, at 3:06 p.m. in St. Joseph Medical Center. Mrs. Herczeg was born on Jan. 28, 1911 in Nagylozs, Hungary, and lived in South Bend most of her life. In 1930, in South Bend, as Veronica Bella she married Steve J. Herczeg who died Nov. 11, 1983. Mrs. Herczeg was a homemaker and formerly employed by the Studebaker Corp. She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy T'Kindt of South Bend; a granddaughter Stephanie T'Kindt of South Bend and a grandson Greg A. Grygiel of Indianapolis; a sister Regina Hafron of South Bend; two brothers, Julius and Arthur Bella both of South Bend. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter Georgia A. Grygiel who died on Sept. 8, 1984 and five brothers and three sisters. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Friday, July 26, at 1 p.m. in St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. Rev. Paul J. McCarthy will officiate. Burial will follow in Sumption Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 25th, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, (219-277-4444). A rosary will be led by Rev. Daryl Rybicki at 4 p.m. on Thursday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Mary of the Assumption Church.
