Chester Wisniewski, 92, passed away at 1:05am Friday, August 27, 2021 in Healthwin Specialized Care Facility. Chester was born on January 22, 1929 in South Bend to Stanley and Mary (Springer) Wisniewski. He was employed by Wheelhorse and retired from the Sisters of St. Frances Convent. Chester enjoyed fishing and playing cards, especially euchre. On April 12, 1969 he married Wasylyna “Lena” Wasio. She died on April 12, 1999. He was also preceded in death by two sisters Mary Austin and Virginia Nowaczynski and a brother Stanley “Junior” Wisniewski. Surviving are his step daughter Dianna (Gordan) Jaronik, two step-granddaughters Michelle (Chris) Vangel and Marlene (Jason) Ford and four step-great-great-grandchildren Ike, Blythe, Ella and Carter, 5 nephews Tony (Fran) Wisniewski, Todd (Tammy) Wisniewski, Tobey Wisniewski, Ron (Joan) Nowaczynski and Richard (Ellen) Nowaczynski, a niece Sandra (Buck) Stritz, and great-nieces Carly Wisniewski and Rose Carl. The family would like to extend special thanks to Healthwin 1st East for the care of Chester. Private services will take place. Zahoran Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
