SOUTH BEND - Clem 'Butch' C. Szczypiorski, 79, passed away at 1:25 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2011, in his home. Butch was born on October 10, 1931, in South Bend, to the late Clem and Effie (Meade) Szczypiorski. He was preceded in death by his son, Gregory Szczypiorski. On November 15, 1952, he married Irene Walker, who survives along with their two sons, David (Diane) Szczypiorski of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Terry (Andrea) Szczypiorski of North Liberty, IN, and by 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Butch was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and boating on the lake. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 13, 2011, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
