John L. Kuzma, Sr., 82, of Battle Creek, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Bronson Battle Creek. He was born on October 8, 1932 in Battle Creek to the late Ronald and Cecilia (Filipan) Kuzma. John was a graduate of St. Phillip High School. After graduating, John served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force for many years including during the Korean War. John received numerous accommodations and awards during his stellar career. Unable to sit idle after retirement, John went to work for Eaton's Corporation as a machinist. In his spare time he enjoyed going to garage sales, collecting old phones and cameras, tinkering around the house and yard, was a Ham radio operator and had a big heart for animals. His greatest joy was time spent with family. On June 4, 1966 John married the love of his life Mary L. Toth at a ceremony in Battle Creek. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Francis Kuzma. John is survived by his loving wife Mary L. Kuzma of Battle Creek, four sons; John Jr. (Kim) Kuzma, Ronald (Angie) Kuzma, David and Michael Kuzma all of Battle Creek, two daughters Lynette Kuzma of Las Vegas, Nevada and Angie Yager of Jackson, Michigan, thirteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a sister Martha (Jerry) Gray of Bedford. Memorial contributions may be made in John's memory to The Potter's House Church 226 Capital Ave. NE, Battle Creek, Michigan 49017. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 from 4:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. at The Potter's House Church with funeral services following at 5:30 p.m. Military honors will be rendered at Ft.
