South Bend - Jerome Edward Otolski, 82, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020.
Jerry was born October 25, 1938 in South Bend to the late Edward and Helen (Dombrowski) Otolski. On August 7, 1965, Jerry married his loving wife of 54 years, Beverly (Grajczyk) Otolski, she preceded him in death on May 22, 2020. He was also preceded in death by their daughters, Theresa Hans, Marka Cote, & Tracy Batdorf; and sister, Ruth Stachowski. Left to cherish the memory of Jerry is his daughter, Rebecca (Don) Pauley; grandchildren, Jeremy (Jenn) Schriefer, Christopher (Bianca) Schriefer, Jaclyn Batdorf, Nicholas (Becky) Batdorf, Brandy Hans, Jonas (Theresa) Hans, Steven (Christina) Hans, Jennifer Evans, Jessi Schriefer, Jamie (Chris) Bennitt, Steve Cote; 22 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren. Jerry proudly serviced his country in the United States Army. He retired from AM General in 2001. Jerry was a parishioner at St. Anthony de Padua. He was a member of the Golden Clusters at St. Hedwig, the American Legion and VFW. Jerry enjoyed dancing, going to the boat, playing the lottery, and an Ice Cold Hamm’s Beer. He and Beverly enjoyed having friends and family come over to play card and dice games. Visitation for Jerry will be 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Monday, December 28, 2020 in St. Joseph Funeral Home, Mayflower Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00am, Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at St. Anthony de Padau Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Fido Fund of Michiana, 4005 Timberstone Drive, Elkhart, IN 46514. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net
