She was affectionately known as “Flip”. She died at home on March 5, 2023. She was preceded in death by both of her parents. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Dillon Oswalt; her brothers, Larry Meersman and Tod (Paula) Meersman; and her nephew Mitchell Meersman (fiancée Chandler Wright) and niece Dani Meersman along with dozens of aunts, uncles and cousins. As a young girl Tammy enjoyed spending time at the family’s cottage at Big Crooked Lake playing, swimming and exploring the outdoors with her brothers and many cousins. She attended St. Bavo Catholic School and graduated from Mishawaka High School. She was a talented bowler and bowled in numerous leagues over the years. She also knew her way around a pool table. Tammy’s real talent was shooting darts. She traveled all over to play in tournaments and won a lot of trophies over the years. Tammy was a member of The American Legion Post#308 and enjoyed spending time there with her friends. She also liked to play euchre. She worked at Crown International for many years building amplifiers before they moved their operations out of state. Tammy most recently worked at AE Techron in Elkhart doing a similar job. She treasured her friends from work and thought of them as family. Tammy was easy going, kind to everyone and always made the best of every situation. She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her. In her honor, try to enjoy the little things in life every day like she did.
