Stanley Lapczynski, 87, of 229 Chestnut St., died at 9:20 p.m. Sunday at the Farris-Lombardy Nursing Home after an extended illness. He was retired from Studebaker Corp. He was born in South Bend on March 25, 1885, and had lived here all his life. On Oct. 10, 1911 in South Bend he married Frances Rengeilski, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Joe Lapp of Arcadia, Calif., and Irvin of South Bend; two daughters, Mrs. Bridget Brazo of Kenosha, Wis., and Mrs. Delores Ontiverr of Whittier, Calif.; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother Peter of South Bend, ; and two sisters, Mrs. Stella Micinski and Mrs. Josephine Rajter, both of South Bend.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Joseph Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Hedwig Catholic Church, Rev. Matthew Sienkiewicz, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. A parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
