SOUTH BEND, IN - Bridget J. Brazo, 101, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 3, 2018 in her home. Bridget was born October 6, 1917 in South Bend, to the late Stanley and Frances (Ringielski) Lapczynski. On December 14, 1935 in Los Angeles, CA, Bridget married Antone Brazo; he preceded her in death in 1993. Survivors of Bridget include her children, Bonnie (John) Jud of South Bend, Mary (Terry) Kubsch of Logansport, and Bob (Vera) Brazo of Lake Worth, FL; grandchildren, Jeanne Ostrowski (Jeff) of Wausau, WI, Julie Jamieson (Robert) of Mishawaka, Peter Kubsch (Elaine) of Rossville, IN, Jane Thomas (Robert) of South Bend, John Jud (Nicole) of Fishers, IN, and Jenny Brazo of Colorado Springs, CO, 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Bridget was a devout Catholic. She enjoyed cooking, baking pies, and crocheting. Bridget never met a stranger. Most of all, Bridget loved her family dearly. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Center for Hospice South Bend for all the love and care given to Bridget. A Prayer Service will be held at a later date. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 1827 E. Ireland Rd. is assisting the family. Burial of her ashes will be in Highland Cemetery.
