EDWARDSBURG - Theresa Majewski, 84, of Edwardsburg, died on Friday, November 16, 2012 at 9:05 PM in Blodgett Hospital, Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was born on December 01, 1927, in South Bend, IN. Theresa loved her family, her church, and her friends. She loved her pool and raised gardens of fresh flowers. She made the best potato salad and apple pie in the world. On May 14, 1949, she married Chester Majewski in South Bend. In 1951, they moved to Edwardsburg. Theresa is survived by, one daughter and two sons: Charlotte (Michael) Vrabel of Granger, George (Deborah) Majewski of Edwardsburg, Michigan, and Paul Majewski of Saugatuck, Michigan; five grandchildren: Michelle (Ryan) Craig, Beth Majewski, Jeremiah (Nicole) Majewski, Graham Vrabel, and Maria Majewski; and four great grandchildren, Tyler Majewski, Kiley and Ava Craig, and Claire Majewski. Two sisters and two brothers also survive her: Christine Szalay, Elizabeth Horvath, James and William Wieger. She was preceded in death by: (Husband) Chester Majewski; (Parents) Joseph and Magdalena; (Brothers and Sisters) Mary Heschl, Steven Wieger, Ann Balukiewicz, Josephine Casini, George Wieger and Joseph Wieger, and a great grandchild, Ascher Johnson. Theresa was a founding member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. She worked for the Uniroyal Corporation until her retirement in 1984. Viewing will be held from 2-8 PM, Sunday, November 25, 2012 at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana, where a Parish Rosary will be held at 3:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Monday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 52553 Fir Road, Granger, Indiana, where friends may call one hour prior to the Mass at St. Pius X.
