SOUTH BEND - Genevieve T. Szymanowski. 75, of 450 S. Kaley St., died Friday morning in her home.
She was a former employee of Wilson Brothers and a cook for M.R. Falcons. She was born July 5, 1916, in South Bend and she lived in the area all of her life. On Aug. 31. 1935, in South Bend, as Genevieve Krol, she married Joseph J Szymanowski.He died May 11, 1985. Surviving are a daughter, Dolores Cira of South Bend; a son, Ronald of South Bend; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Blanche Cenova and Gladys Pajakowski, both of South Bend; two stepsisters, Mary Cwidak and Katherine Trzaskowski, both of South Bend; and two brothers, Stanley Krol and John Krol, both of South Bend. She was a member of Sisters Auxiliary and Rosary Sodality at St. Adalberts Catholic Church. She was a member of Harvest House at St. Adalbert's and Holy Family Catholic Church. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Adalberts Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. Monday until services in St. Joseph Funeral Home. Harvest House will say a rosary at 3 p.m. and a parish rosary will be said at 7:30 today.
