SOUTH BEND - Stephen F. Zmyslo, 93, passed away at 8:58 pm Wednesday, October 17, 2012, in Hamilton Grove, New Carlisle, Indiana. Stephen was born January 19, 1919, in Chicago, IL, to the late Frank and Harriet Zmyslo. Stephen was also preceded in death by his brothers, Matt and Edwin Zmyslo, and sister, Stella LaCava. Stephen is survived by his loving spouse, Dorothy (Martin) Zmyslo; along with son, Stephen (Patricia) Zmyslo Jr. of Stevensville, MI; daughter, Carol (Jeff) Powell of Bedford, IN; six grandchildren & two great-grandchildren; sisters, Ann Zmyslo, Eleanor Zielinski, Mary Rogiers and Jean Kalmar; and a brother, Harry Zmyslo. Stephen was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service for 22 years, and he enjoyed golfing. Visitation for Stephen will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, October 21, 2012, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., where a Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 pm. A funeral service will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday, October 22, 2012, in the funeral home. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Resurrection Gardens. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
