MISHAWAKA - Michael J. Krawiec, 57, residing in Mishawaka, IN, passed away at 12:25 PM Sunday, October 25, 2015, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. Michael was born on October 22, 1958, in South Bend, to the late Edward T. Krawiec and Mary Lou (Phillips) Krawiec, and had lived in this area most of his life. Michael worked as a cook at Appelbee's and was known by many of his friends as "Big Joker." He was also a big supporter of Devils Disciples Motorcycle Club. Michael is survived by his sons, Joseph Wyatt Goldberg of Oak Ridge, TN, and Collin Ewing of South Bend; sister, Tammy Szabo of Mishawaka; brother, Eddie Krawiec, Jr. of Mishawaka; a niece and nephew; his aunt, Arlene Simeri of Elkhart; and many cousins. Along with his parents, Edward T. and Mary Karawiec, Michael was preceded in death by his uncle, Donald Phillips. Funeral services for Michael J. Krawiec will be at 6:00 PM Thursday, October 29, 2015, at Palmer Funeral Home River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN 46615, where friends may visit with the family one hour prior to services (5:00 PM 6:00 PM). Chaplain Steve Coyle of the St. Joseph County Police Department will officiate. Memorial contributions may be offered to the family.
