SOUTH BEND - Rose H. Egyhazi, 91 of South Bend, passed away at 8:50 a.m. on Thursday July 8, 2010 in the Milton Home. She was born on February 22, 1919, in South Bend to Steve (Rose (Degobits) Strantz who preceded her in death. On June 10, 1943, as Rose Strantz, she married John A. Egyhazi who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Susan (Julian) Dhoore, of Niles, and Mary (Larry) Karnes of Mishawaka; one son, John (Jenny) of South Bend; six grandchildren, Christopher (Kristin) Dhoore of Edwardsburg, Cassandra (Richard) Weglowski, of Edwardsburg, Theresa (Chris), Taylor, of Osceola, Douglas (Brooke) Karnes of South Bend, Alexandra Egyhazi and Christina Egyhazi, both of South Bend; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Grunwald of South Bend. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday July 11, 2010 in the Zahoran Funeral Home 1826 Kemble Ave., where a parish rosary will be prayed at 4 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday July 12, 2010 in Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. She was a former member of The DFV German Club Ladies Auxiliary. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Hungary school.
