Stella A. Kosana, (nee Rose) 85, of Mishawaka, IN, passed in to eternal life on August 5, 2021 at her home. She was born on June 30, 1936, in South Bend, IN, to the late Arthur, Jr. and Stella (Bollinger) Rose and was lifelong area resident. On April 11, 1955, as Stella A. Rose, she married Stephen A. Kosana at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, Notre Dame, who preceded her in death on March 18, 2021. She was also preceded in death by a sister. Stella is survived by her three daughters; Kimberly J. (Gary) Bednarek of South Bend, Lise A. Prestine of MI and Deborah Lynn Kosana of Portland, OR; three grandchildren; Dr. Robert (Rachel) Bednarek of Fort Wayne, IN, Anna Rose (Brandon) Knapp of Granger, IN and Katie (Jake) Lemon of MI; and four great-grandchildren; Ellie and Edison Bednarek and Gus and Theo Lemon. Mrs. Kosana worked as a Clerk for Les Smith Jewelers for 17 years, before retiring in 2005. A Private Graveside Service will be held at Riverview Cemetery, South Bend.
