South Bend -- Stella I. Young, 82, of Medco Center, died at 9:11 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph’s Medical Center. Mrs. Young retired in 1972 from dietary services at St. Joseph’s Medical Center. She was born Nov. 15, 1910, in Plymouth and was a lifelong resident. As Stella I Bolinger, she married Arthur Rose Jr. He died in 1965. She married Robert Young. He died in 1988. Surviving are two daughters, Madeline Nelson of Tucson, Ariz., and Stella Ann Kosana of South Bend, five grand children, two great-grandchildren, a sister, Olive Alderfer of Plymouth, and a brother, Herbert George Bolinger of Plymouth. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Southlawn Cemetery, where burial will follow. There will be no visitation. Forest G. Hay Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Medco Center.
