South Bend - Paula Jean "PJ" Flanegan, 74, passed away at 1:44pm Sunday, August 22, 2021 in Trailpoint Village. Paula Jean was born on February 5, 1947 in South Bend to Chester and Pauline (Nowak) Wallace. She was the owner of PJ's Shear Designs for 36 years. Mayor David A. Wood proclaimed December 28, 2013 Paula J. Flanegan Day in Mishawaka. Paula loved fishing at her cottage on Lake Lagrange in Cassopolis, Notre Dame football, but most of all she loved her family. On June 28, 1980 she married Michael R. Flanegan. He died on March 12, 2007. Surviving are a sister Susan (Fred) Kile, two brothers Raymond C. Wallace and James P. Wallace and nephews Timothy P. Wallace, Connor Nelson and Kyle Nelson. A Celebration of Life will take place at 11:00 am Monday, August 30, 2021 in Fairview Cemetery where her cremated remains will be entombed. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association at act.alz.org. Zahoran Funeral home has been entrusted with arrangements.
