MISHAWAKA - Michael R. Flanegan, 60, passed away at 3:00 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2007, in his residence. Mike was born on February 6, 1947, in South Bend, to Richard and Betty (Spink) Flanegan. He was employed by I.C.S. of Elkhart and Precuts. On June 28, 1980, he married the former Paula Jean Wallace, who survives. Also surviving are his mother, Betty Flanegan of Mishawaka; two sisters, Kathy Flanegan of Mishawaka and Mollie (Karl) Nelson of Granger; a brother, Casey Flanegan of Cassopolis; a niece, Casey; five nephews, Kyle, Connor, Sean, Shane and Timothy; two brothers-in-law, Raymond Wallace and James Wallace; and a sister-in-law, Susan Wallace. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Richard Flanegan, and a brother, Patrick Flanegan. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 16, in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue. Cremation will follow. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society.
