On July 14, 1923, “Marie" Buysse married Nick Kober in St. Joseph Co., Indiana. (marriage Index, sbsgs.org) At the time of the 1930 and 1940 censuses of South Bend, Indiana, the Kobers had a son Robert and lived at the Buysse family home at 703 North Monson Street with her brother Arthur Buysse. In 1940, Nick was a decorator in private business, and Marie and her brother were employed at a farm equipment company.
