Eleanor Kubasik, 91, formerly of South Bend, passed away on August 10, 2006, at Florida Hospital Flagler in Palm Coast, Florida. She was born in Nekoosa, Wisconsin to Vincent and Michaelina Wawrzyniak. Her husband Frank and her son, Robert Kubasik, preceded her in death. Surviving are her daughter, Rita (Tom) Kane, Palm Coast, Florida, and her daughter-in-law Annette Kubasik of South Bend. Eleanor and two grandchildren, Paul (Mary) Kane of Niles, Michigan and Pam (John) Hostetler of South Bend. She also had three great-grandsons, Steven Hostetler, Erik Kane and Scott Kane. She is survived by her four sisters, Irene Pajakowski, Jane Woltman and Sally Borkowski all of South Bend, and Sr. Mary Luiza of Livonia, Michigan. Her sister, Stella Jankowski and two brothers, Lucian and Edwin Wawrzynjiak, preceded her in death. Eleanor enjoyed card parties, bingo, gardening and walking. Visitation will be today, Aug. 15, 2006, from 4 to 8 p.m. in St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. South Bend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 16, 2006, at 10 a.m. in St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Gardens, St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Adalbert's Parish 2420 Huron St. South Bend, IN 46619.
