Mike A. Nowak 66 of 2106 W. Rogers St., died at 12:50 p.m. Sunday to St. Joseph's Hospital after a brief illness. He been a former Studebaker Corp. employee and retired in 1967 from J.C. Woods, Inc. He had also been president of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church Holy Name Society and a church trustee. He was born June 28, 1902 in LaPorte County. On May 11, 1925 he married Carrie Botka, who survives. He is also survived by three sons S. Sgt. Stanilaus J. Nowak, stationed with the Air Force in Japan; Eugene M. and Michael F., both of South Bend; two daughters, Mrs. Lucielle Radecki and. Mrs. Eleanor Graham, both of South Bend; 24 grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Theresa Wilmeth, LaPorte; Mrs. Helen Piechowiez and Mrs. Elizabeth Piechocki, both of South Bend. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home where the rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. Services will be held; at 10.a.m. Thursday in St Stanislaus Church with Rev. Casimir Grabarz, C.S.C., pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
