[N6857] William E. Overhulser, 81, of South Bend, IN passed away at 6:05 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2007 in Hospice House. He was born September 22, 1925 in Warsaw, IN to Everett and Elma (Kaufman) Overhulser, and has lived in South Bend since 1963, coming from Warsaw. On January 31, 1948 in Warsaw, he married the former Betty L. Brechner, who survives. He is survived by his wife Betty, of fifty-nine years. Also surviving is a daughter, Terry Sue Andreone and her husband Bob, their children, Courtney, Michael and Christie Andreone, all of Carmel, IN; a son-in-law, Dave Sills of South Bend and his children, Deanie Kopec and her husband Art of South Bend and Casey Sills of Niles, Michigan; and two great grandchildren, Madison and Emma Kopec. Mr. Overhulser was preceded in death by a daughter, Maddy Sills, on July 31, 2006, and a sister Betty Kellog-Chilcote. Many loving nieces and nephews survive Mr. Overhulser as well. He retired from Indiana Tool Manufacturing in Plymouth, IN following more than 40 years of service as a tool & die maker. Mr. Overhulser loved working in his garden and yard. He was very proud of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2007 in Southlawn United Methodist Church, 60756 U. S. 31 S., South Bend, IN. Rev. Don Carpenter will officiate. Burial will follow in Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2007 in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend, IN and one hour prior to the services on Monday at the Church.
