SOUTH BEND - Edwin Pajakowski, 74, of 810 W. Angela Blvd., died at 5:15pm Saturday in his home after an illness. He retired as a foreman for Michiana Machine Co.Mr. Pajakowski was born February 16, 1916, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident. On July 4, 1940, in South Bend, he married Harriet Radecki. She survives, along with a daughter, Ann Pence of Columbus IN; a son, Larry of Grays Lake IL; four grandchildren; three sisters, Jean Nowicki, Evelyn Derda and Gertrude Botka, all of South Bend; and two brothers, John and Joe, also of South Bend. He was a World War II Navy veteran. Mr. Pajakowski was a member of the church and M.R.Falcons Nest 4. Services will be at 10am Wednesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Entombment will take place. Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm Tuesday at Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home. A rosary will be said at 7pm Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St Joseph County.
