WALKERTON -- Linda Sue (Martin) Krol, 62, of Lake Worth, Florida, formerly of Koontz Lake, passed away at 12:40 p.m. Friday, June 2, 2006, in Bethesda Memorial Hospital, Boyton Beach, Fla.

Linda was born on December 10, 1943, in LaPorte, Ind., and had resided in the Lake Worth, Fla., area since 2005. On August 5, 1967, in Fort Wayne, Ind., as Linda Sue Martin, she married Dr. Ronald A. Krol, Ph.D., who survives in Lake Worth, Fla.

Also surviving are a daughter, Susan M. (Ray) Krol-Conrad of Lake Worth, Fla.; and a grandson, Logan Conrad; her mother, Dorothy N. Martin of Koontz Lake; a sister, Nancy Stoute of Bloomington, Ind.; and three brothers, Ronald (Margo) Martin of Hamlet, Ind., David (Valerie) Martin of Three Rivers, Mich., and Bruce Martin of North Carolina.

Mrs. Krol retired from teaching and taught at Fort Wayne, Ind., Toledo, Ohio, and Kalamazoo, Mich. She taught at-risk teens.

She was a person who cared for the children and always wanted to be there for them. She loved life in general, and was a devoted Christian woman.

Linda loved needlepoint, embroidery, reading and working with her flowers.

She will be sadly missed by her loving family and very close friends, Martha Sue (Rod) Abbott of Granger, Ind., and by many friends she made during her life journey. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who cherished her grandson.

so wonderful.

The family requests that all memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC), Washington University, 4488 Forrest Park Ave., Suite 130, St. Louis, MO 63108.

Visitation hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 8, in the Hanley & Sons Funeral Home "Walkerton Chapel," located at 1216 Roosevelt Road, Walkerton, Indiana.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. (EDT) Friday, June 9, in the funeral home, with Rev. Bob Renner officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.

The HANLEY & Sons Funeral Home "Walkerton Chapel" handled arrangements and services and extends deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to the Krol family.
