I looked from 29 Sep to 8 Oct in Tribune, didn't see obit. Nothing in Eisen's index. No Jacob Banicki in 1916 or 1919 City Directories.

MARRIAGE
Per Lukasz Bielecki 12/3/2012:
"This seems to be their marriage:
Catholic parish in Kcynia [Exin], entry # 26 in 1853
Jacobus Banicki (30) father: Casimirus Banicki, mother: Anna
Arbena Kowalska (24) father: Joseph Kowalski, mother: Magdalena Additional information: viduus
This Arbena is obviously a corrupted/misread spelling for Balbina (Albina?)."
HUSBAND - Jacobus Banicki
Upon his marriage to Balbina, his marital status reads "widower." However, Lukasz searched high and low in the
area and was unable to locate either another marriage for Jacobus or a death of a first wife. We are currently
thinking the marital status may have been a mistake. The only thing that leads me to still believe he WAS actually a
widower is that the family treemaker page I found had word of mouth notes from Greg Banicki stating that Marcin
had a red-headed step-brother. We know Balbina had not been married before, nor did she pass away before
Jacobus.

Per Lukasz Bielecki, 12/12/12
"Jacobus died on 24 May 1901 in the age of 83 - in Ojrzanowo-Nowiny (entry #40). His son-in-law Jan Gorecki
notified about Jacobus' death. Now, I will have to find the civil death record for Jacobus to learn about his
birthplace. We know from both his marriage and death records that the parents' names were Casimir and Anna but
as the Poznan Project does not mention such a couple, it is hard to say where the Banicki's were from."
Email received 12/19/2012 is Jacobus' civil death record.
Lukasz Bielecki, Discovering Roots , 12/19/2012.
"Meanwhile, I also got the civil record of Jacobus Banicki's death records (also bad quality) and it says he had been
born in Suchoreczek, Szaradowo parish (not far from Kcynia). So this can also be traced at some point."
Lukasz Bielecki, Discovering Roots , 12/27/2012.
"The other record is the marriage of Jacobus Banicki to Albina Kowalska (we know her first name was actually
Balbina and the surname was more often spelled Kowalewska). It is #26, the date is 4 Sep and his residence is "
Czerwoniak, Szaradowo parish" and hers is Zalesie. He was already widowed and so far I have not been able to
trace his previous marriage. As he was only 30 in 1853, I would guess he could be first married in ca. 1845-1852.
Probably finding his first wife's death record (in Szaradowo parish?) will be helpful."
Email and digital files received 12/27/2012. Image shows two of the witnesses to the marriage are Bartholomaeus
Banicki and Augustinus Kowalski. Probable brothers or uncles to the bride and groom.
