GOSHEN -- Patrick G. Bogucki, 53, of 66170 C.R. 27, died at 3:35 p.m. Wednesday (April 11, 2001) in the emergency room at Goshen General Hospital after becoming ill at the wheel driving on C.R. 27 between C.R. 38 and C.R. 40. He had been on the heart transplant list at Fort Wayne Lutheran Hospital since suffering a heart attack in 1990. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. today and 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, where the service will immediately follow the second visitation. Chaplain Warren Swartz with Disabled American Veterans Chapter 15 will officiate, followed by burial at Benton Lutheran Cemetery in Benton. Mr. Bogucki was born in South Bend on Nov. 28, 1947, the son of John and Rita (Podemski) Bogucki, graduated in 1966 from Washington High School and served in the U.S. Navy. He married Carolyn S. Clanton in Goshen on March 5, 1995, and she survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. William (Tina) Bebout and Audra Bogucki, both of South Bend, and Julie Bogucki of Chicago; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Andrew (Marci) Curtis of Indianapolis; two stepsons, Martin R. (Heather) and Mitchell R. Clanton, both of Goshen; a goddaughter, Jessica Bogucki of South Bend; four grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; his mother, of North Liberty; and three brothers, John Jr. of North Liberty, Kenneth and Ronald, both of South Bend. Mr. Bogucki came to Goshen from Elkhart six years ago. He was last employed at Dexter Axle Inc. in Elkhart and was a member of DAV Chapter 15. He had served as a Color Guard Commander and as a volunteer for seven years with the Concord Fire Department and enjoyed photography.
