Obituary from p. 4 of the 29mar1986 edition of the “South Bend Tribune”:

. Frank L. Holtsclaw, 61, of 1131 E. Broadway St., died at 3:20 p.m. Thursday in the Memorial Hospital emergency room. Mr. Holtsclaw was a painter for Allied Construction Co. He was born July 10, 1924, in Elkhart, and had lived in South Bend the last 11 years after coming from Mishawaka. On Dec. 23, 1966, in South Bend, he married the former Betty J. Alexandrowicz. She survives with five daughters, Darlene Ocampo, Kathy Lisenko and Theresa Holtsclaw, all of South Bend, and Tammy King and Tina Fielder, both of Mishawaka; three sons, Jeff A. and Sean P., both of South Bend, and Frank L. Jr. of Edwardsburg; 16 grandchildren; two brothers, Walter N. of Valparaiso and William D. of Mishawaka; and a stepbrother, Harold B. Nash of Louisville, Ky.

. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Mr. Holtzclaw was a member of First English Lutheran Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1167.
