Anastasia Szumiesz (nee Kasiaras), 77, a lifelong resident of Manchester, New Hampshire, a Shoe Repairer for Gutman-Kessler Shoe Company where she retired in 1975, passed away at Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, on Friday, June 2, 2000, following a brief illness. Visiting hours are scheduled for Monday, June 12, 2000, 5-8 p.m., with trisagion services at 5 p.m., at McHugh Funeral Home, 483 Beech Street (corner of Hanover Street), Manchester. Further visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, June 13, 9:15 a.m., until time of funeral services at 10 a.m., at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, officiated by the Rev. Peter Chambers, dean of the cathedral. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to American Parkinson's Disease Association, 60 Bay Street, Staten Island, NY 10301.
