SOUTH BEND - Philip Egyhazi, 54, passed away Friday, July 28, 2017, in Kindred Hospital of Northern Indiana. Philip was born March 16, 1963, in South Bend, to Carl and Mary Lou (Van Overberghe) Egyhazi. Philip was preceded in death by his father, Carl, on August 12, 2013. Survivors of Philip include his mother, Mary Lou Egyhazi of South Bend; sister, Paula (Rey) Barreto of New Carlisle; brother, Terry Egyhazi of South Bend; and niece, Angela Barreto of New Carlisle. Philip worked in the shipping and receiving department at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne for 23 years. He was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Philip enjoyed antique shopping with his friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Thursday, August 3, 2017, in Holy Family Catholic Church, with visitation from 9:00 am to 11:00 am prior to the Mass in the back of the church. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., is assisting the family.Memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic School, 3526 St. Johns Way, South Bend, Indiana 46628.
