Donald A. Krol, 36, of 58481 Kimberly Court, died at 8:22 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Hospital's emergency room of an apparent heart attack. He was a corporal with the St. Joseph County Police Department, serving there for eight years. Born on July 8, 1947, in South Bend, he lived here all of his life. On May 10, 1975, in South Bend, he married the former Carolyn A. Niemier. She survives, along with a daughter, Melissa Ann, at home; a sister, Carolyn Ruetz of South Bend; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Aloysius Krol of South Bend. He was a member of the West Side Democratic and Civic Club, the Fraternal Order ot Police, National Sheriffs Association, American Legion Pulaski Post 357, and Holy Family Catholic Church.
