Mrs. Ruth Marie Omundson, 84, Of the Golden Age Manor, who formerly resided on East Donald, died at 12:30 a.m. today in the nursing home after an extended illness. She was born on Dec. 14, 1892 in Chicago and had lived here most of her life. On Nov. 16, 1912, as Ruth Fogelstrom, she married Chester Omundson, who died in 1970. Surviving are a daughter, Mr. Ethel Lampsa of South Bend; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Soderbaum of Lansing, Ill., and Mrs. Ethel Hubbard of Dubuque, Iowa, and a brother, William Fogelstrom of Austin, inn. The Guisinger Colonial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Published in the South Bend Tribune; Friday, July 22, 1977.
