Chester B. Omundson, 76, of 302 E. Donald St., died at 7 p.m. Sunday in his home. He was born July 21, 1893, in Chicago and had lived here 40 years. He was a retired Studebaker Corp. employee. On Nov 16, 1912, he married Ruth Foglestrum in Chicago. She survives with two sons, Willard (Gus) of Mishawaka and Robert G. of El Paso, Tex.; a daughter, Mrs. Raymond Lampsa of South Bend; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Harry P. , of Chicago; and two sisters, Mrs. Grace Stencil of Chicago and Mrs. Bertha Wilbur of Chicago. Friends may call at the Warner Funeral Home, Osceola, from 7 p.m. today to 11 a.m. Tuesday and after noon Tuesday at the Bilancio-Guisinger Colonial Chapel where services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. Harry Collier, pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church will officiate Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Published in the South Bend Tribune; Monday, June 15, 1970.
Note; Was disinterred from Chapel Hill and interred in Southlawn cemetery.
Note; SSDI has dob as 21 July, 1894, I tend to believe the obit as the age correlates with 1893.
