NEW CARLISLE - Virginia M. (Krakowski/Danielowicz) Butler, 85, of New Carlisle, IN, formerly of South Bend and Mishawaka, passed away on Monday, September 10, 2007. Virginia was born on August 4, 1922, in South Bend, IN, to Frank and Bertha (Hoffman) Krakowski. She spent most of her life as a mother and homemaker. Virginia is survived by four daughters, Sandra (Harry) Davis of New Carlisle, IN, Judith Donovan of South Bend, IN, Beverly (Edward) Summers of South Bend, IN, and Stephanie Butler of Baltimore, MD; two sons, Thomas (Linda) Danielowicz of Florence, AL, and Myron (Mary) Danielowicz of Mishawaka, IN; twenty-seven grandchildren, Cary (Valerie) Davis, Michael (Laura) Davis, Mark (Kerrigan) Davis, Scott Davis, Monica (Donald) Reid, Troy (Dawn) Davis, Kelley (Michael) Mason, Dawn (James) Starling, Jeffrey Donovan, Nicole Summers, Jason Summers, Kim, Cindy, Stephen Danielowicz IV, Dennis Danielowicz, Derrick Danielowicz, Darryl Danielowicz, Ashley McGann, Justin Danielowicz, Kyle Danielowicz, Ted Danielowicz, Timothy Danielowicz, Tanya Dougherty, Dusty Rose Danielowicz, Bambi Rose Danielowicz, Amber Danielowicz and Brandon Danielowicz; seventeen great-grandchildren, Cayla Davis, Brae Davis, Brittany Davis, Mark Davis, Broc Davis, Hillary Mason, Lindsay Mason, Brett Mason, Ryan Reid, Briana Davis, Travis Davis, Isabella McGann, Tyler Starling, Jessica Danielowicz, Seamus Dougherty, Kirkland Danielowicz and Lauren Danielowicz; and by one sister-in-law, Mary Krakowski of South Bend, IN. Preceding her in death were two sons, Stephen Danielowicz III and Robert Danielowicz; two sisters, Helen and Irene; and three brothers, Frank, Edward and Richard. Funeral services will be held at noon, Friday, September 14, 2007, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where friends may call two hours prior to services. Virginia was a former member of the West Side Democratic Club. She was a gifted seamstress who would crochet her own doilies and afghans. She enjoyed sewing and would make her own curtains and clothing for her children. She was a wonderful cook who made the best pies. Virginia also enjoyed gardening and tending to her houseplants.
