Agnes Nowak
Mrs. Agnes Nowak, aged 75, died at 10:10 a.m. Saturday in her home, 1026 West Dunham street, after an illness of three years. She was the widow of John Nowak, who passed away six years ago. Mrs. Nowak was born in Poland Dec. 13, 1867, and came to South Bend from Terre Coupe, Ind., 60 years ago. She is survived by three sons, Valentine, John and Walter, and two daughters, Carrie and Stella, all of South Bend, and a grandson, Raymond Nowak, also of South Bend; a brother, Valentine Michalski of Terre Coupe, and a sister, Mrs. Pauline Gieraz, of South Bend.Friends will be received in the residence after 4 p.m. today. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday in St. Hedwige's Polish Roman Catholic church. The Rev. Stanislaus A. Gruza, pastor officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery.
