Mishawaka--Nikolas Stscherban, Jr., 67, of Mishawaka, passed away unexpectedly during the early morning hours of May 18th in the St. Anthony Hospital in Michigan City. Nick was born in Graz, Austria, on December 12, 1945, to Nikolas and Helen Stscherban Sr. He retired in 2011 from TCU where he was a Commercial Insurance Sales Specialist. Nick was an avid golfer & was a golf instructor at the Plymouth Rock Golf Course. He was a member of the Club 15 Athletic Association in Mishawaka.On August 18, 1992, in Shepherdsville, Kentucky, he married Kathryn Grace Dean. Nick was a member at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Goshen, Indiana. Nick is survived by his wife, Kathryn; his mother, Helen Stscherban of Mishawaka; a daughter, Stephanie Stscherban of Indianapolis; three stepchildren, Tom (Donna) Dean of Maryville, Missouri, Jeff Dean of Eklhart, Kimberly (Wendell) Burnett of Ft. Wayne. He was the step-grandfather of 8 and a step-great-grandfather of 2. He is also survived by his siblings, Ella (Joe) Amaral of South Bend, Paul (Kathy) Stscherban of Mishawaka and Jean (Dr. Agop) Tepeli of Frankfort, Illinois; along with nieces and nephews, Joe Amaral Jr., Alex Stscherban, John Stscherban, Nikolas Tepeli, Michael Tepeli and Natalie Tepeli. He was preceded in death by his father, Nikolas Stscherban Sr. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, May 21st, from 4 to 8 pm, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. A service celebrating Nick's life will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, May 22nd, in the funeral chapel, where friends will be able to visit one hour prior to the service.
