July 4, 1897 - July 27, 1997 Lottie Poznanski, 100, of Regency Place, formerly of Buckeye Road, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 27, in the nursing home. Mrs. Poznanski was born on July 4, 1897, in South Bend, Ind., and was a lifelong area resident. She was employed with the former Wilson Brothers and retired from S.S. Kresges. On September 25, 1918, in South Bend, as Lottie Jedrzejewski, she married Henry Poznanski, who preceded her in death on August 23, 1942. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Elaine Grohowski on May 6, 1971; a sister, Sylvia Janowiak; and by three brothers, Henry, Harold and Edward Jedrzejewski. She is survived by two daughters, Esther Forycki of Mishawaka and Delores Rybak of South Bend; and by three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mrs. Poznanski was a member of St. Matthew Cathedral and the Rosary Society. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday in St. Matthew Cathedral, with the Most Reverend Joseph Crowley officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a combined parish and Rosary Society Rosary will be recited at 4 p.m.
