Robert P. Kyle, of Granger, passed away at his residence on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at the age of 76. He was born on December 21, 1946 in Mishawaka to the late Ralph E. Kyle Sr. and Maggie F. (Robbins) Kyle. He graduated from Mishawaka High School and remained a lifelong resident of the area. On May 27, 1967 he was united in marriage to Susan Soens who preceded him in death on May 28, 2021. Robert is survived by their two sons, Dave (Betsy) Kyle of Texas and Dan (Becki) Kyle of Tennessee, and three grandchildren, Zachary, Maggie and Lucy Kyle. He also leaves behind his sister, Brenda Windgard and brother, Perry David Kyle both of Florida. Along with his parents and wife, Robert was preceded by his brother, Ralph Kyle Jr. Robert retired from Big C Lumber where he worked as a General Manager. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. Robert loved anything motorized, whether it be his 66 Nova or the multiple Harley Davidson’s or flying his remote-control airplanes. He and Sue, along with their many friends, over the years enjoyed snowmobiling, camping, boating, and taking trips on their motorcycle. A Celebration of Life visitation will be held from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. on February 25, 2023 at Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN.
