SOUTH BEND, IN - Adelaine (Koziatek) Iwaszewski, long-time resident of South Bend, IN and Vancouver, WA, born July 30, 1927, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2021. Adelaine was the daughter of the late Vincent and Mary Anne Koziatek. On November 29, 1947, she married the late Joseph R. Iwaszewski in South Bend, IN. Adelaine is survived by daughters, Carol (Rolando) Ortegon of Vancouver, WA and Nancy (Michael) Hecklinski of Fort Myers, FL; and son, Paul (Sherry) Iwaszewski of New Carlisle, IN. Adelaine leaves behind eight grandchildren: Randy (Amy) Hecklinski, Jeffry (Tiffany) Hecklinski, Kimberly Iwaszewski, Cory Iwaszewski, Matthew Ortegon, Michael Ortegon, Gretchen (Mike) Krivak, and Gwen (Bradley) Nimtz, and 10 great-grandchildren. Adelaine graduated from South Bend Catholic High School. While raising her three children, she worked part-time alongside her husband Joe and dad, Vince at the family-owned grocery store, Vince's Super Saver. She later worked at Wheelabrator's in Mishawaka, IN and then finished her working career at the South Bend Teachers Credit Union. More detailed information can be found at www.hamiltonmylan.com.
