SOUTH BEND - Alfreda J. Baranowski, 95, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at the Sanctuary of Holy Cross. Born February 15, 1921, in South Bend, where she was a lifelong resident. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter in 1999, a son, Paul in 2008, and five sisters. Survivors include her daughter, Mary (William) Fisher of Granger, grandson, Gregory Fisher of Elkhart, granddaughter, Kelly (Justin) Harness of Osceola, and grandson, Jeffrey (Tisa) Fisher of Granger, 2 great-granddaughters, and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 22, 2016, at St. Stanislaus Church at 10:00 a.m. followed by burial at St. Joseph Cemetery. Her family wishes to thank the staff at Holy Cross and Hospice for their kindness and support. Kaniewski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Published in South Bend Tribune on Aug. 21, 2016
