John Earl Doktor Sr., 80, of Mishawaka, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Indiana University Health Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis, IN. John was born on November 8, 1941, in Osceola, IN as the son of the late John & Beatrice (Miller) Doktor. On September 2, 1961, in Mishawaka John married the former Jeane Jones, who survives along with their children, Mamie (Janice Nauman) Doktor, Johnny (Debby) Doktor Jr., and Jennifer (Tom) Fink. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jeane Doktor and his sister, Lorraine Dorbin. John loved his life as a farmer with his wife, Jeane by his side. He also enjoyed farming with Johnny and Debby. John had fun playing golf and had FIVE holes in one. He was also proud of Mamie and Jennifer’s family dedication. Private family services and burial have taken place in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Hahn Funeral Home has been entrusted with handling the final arrangements.
