The WPA, "Indiana, Index to Birth Records" indicates that "Irena" Koleszar was born in South Bend on Nov. 11, 1913, and the Indiana death certificate for Iren Koloszar indicates that Iren was born Nov. 12, 1913 and died in South Bend on Feb. 26, 1914. Her father George Koloszar was the informant for her death certificate and reported that the maiden name of her mother was Eleanor Rokop. Her obituary was published Feb. 26, 1914, confirming the year 1914. Consequently, it appears that the years of birth and death inscribed on her gravestone are both off by one year.
