MISHAWAKA - Betty Garstecki, 71, of Mishawaka, passed away Monday, February 04, 2013, in the Golden Living Center/ Fountainview in Mishawaka. She was born on September 18, 1941, in South Bend, to the late Florence (Aftowski) Hudnall, and was a lifelong area resident. Betty is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Frank) Rice of South Bend; two grandchildren, Frank and Samantha Rice; a sister, Barbara (Jerry) Deeds, Selmer, TN; and a brother, Jack Hayes of Mishawaka. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph and Stanley Garstecki. Betty loved to play bingo. Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
