MISHAWAKA - Lydia "Lega" (Ricci) Miller, 90, passed away on Saturday, January 8th, in the Golden Living Center, Mishawaka. Lega was born on June 7, 1920, in Cesena, Italy, to Secondo and Pasquina (Brandolini) Ricci. She was preceded in death by her parents. On June 25, 1949, in St. Bavo Catholic Church, Mishawaka, she married Wayne "Bugs" Miller, who preceded her in death in 1971. Surviving are a daughter, Michelle "Mitch" Jacobs of Mishawaka; sons, Rick (Julie) Miller of Mishawaka and Dean (Wanda) Miller of Osceola; five grandchildren, Karrie Jacobs, Anthony Miller, Joseph "Joey" Miller, Cassandra Miller and Madison Miller; and a great-granddaughter, Emma Jacobs. Lega came to Indiana in 1928, coming from Italy. She was a cook for Wheelabrator, First Source Bank and the South Bend Clinic. She was a member of St. Bavo Catholic Church and the "Chums" Club. Visitation is Wednesday, January 12, from 4 to 8 p.m., with a Rosary at 5 p.m., in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, January 13, at 10 a.m. in St. Bavo Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with Rev. Barry England officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
