SOUTH BEND - Stephen J. "Steve" Chod-zinski, 64, of South Bend, IN, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, in his home. He was born on November 14, 1950, to the late Chester and Dolores (Stephens) Chodzinski in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong resident. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by two daughters, Amy and Melissa Chodzinski; and a grandson, Ashton Jachimiak. Steve graduated in 1969 from Central High School in South Bend, IN. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Steve retired as a self-employed Construction Worker after many years. He was also the owner of the former K-9 Pet Store in South Bend, IN, and Red Leaf Stables Horse Farm in Mishawaka, IN. Steve is survived by two daughters, Mandy Chod-zinski of Mishawaka, IN, and Jenny Roth of South Bend, IN; and three grandchildren, Honey Jachimiak, Alexander and Jacob Roth. Steve enjoyed cooking for his family, and loved spending time with his granddaughter, Honey Rose. Cremation has taken place. Private services will be held at a later date.
