NORTH LIBERTY - Diana “Dee” Joan Lawson, 69, residing in North Liberty, IN; passed away at 12:03 a.m., April 13, 2016 at Memorial Hospital of South Bend. She was born December 30, 1946 in South Bend, a daughter of Alexander & Helen (Sabaj) Czajkowski, and has remained a lifelong resident of St. Joseph County. On September 9, 1967 in South Bend, Dee was united in marriage to Roger Lawson. They have enjoyed nearly 49 years together. Dee is survived by her loving husband Roger, along with her daughter, Jennifer Lawson of Hampton, TN; her daughter-in-law, Theresa Heston of Osceola, IN; two grandchildren, Steven (Brandy) Mejer, and Andrew Lawson, and a great-granddaughter, Chloe, along with her sister, Virginia (Al) Kobiec of Cibilo, TX; and by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffery Lawson, and a sister, MaryAnn McQueen. Dee was employed as a Master Die Cutter at Derby, Inc. for 30 years, and was a member of 4-H Horse and Pony in North Liberty. Visitation will be held from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at the Palmer Funeral Home-North Liberty Chapel, 202 N. Main St., North Liberty, IN. Service will follow at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
