From the SOUTH BEND TRIBUNE, December 23, 1973, page 52 :

Mrs. Harriet C. Pukrop, 71, of 2915 Ponds Ave., died at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the Carlyle Nursing Home after an eight month illness. In 1967, she retired after 20 years with Uniroyal, Inc. She was born Feb. 10. 1902, in South Bend. Her husband, Edward, died last August. Surviving are a son, Edward E. of South Bend, a daughter, Mrs. Gerald Grey of Lompoc, Calif.; three grandchildren, a brother, Julius Jurek of South Bend, and three sisters, Mrs. Marie Janik and Mrs. Dorothy Zielinski, both of South Bend, and Mrs. Margaret Skora of Chicago. Mrs. Pukrop was a member of the Apostleship of Prayer of St. Stanislaus Church and the Polish Roman Catholic Union, Court of Mary Group 793.
