Obituary from p. 38 of the 30 AUG 1973 edition of the “South Bend Tribune”:
. Edward Pukrop, 70, of 2915 Bonds Ave., died at 12:05 a.m. today in his residence after a brief illness. He retired in 1968 from the Bendix Corp., where he had been employed for 25 years. He was born in Chicago on Aug. 6, 1903 and came to South Bend as a child. On Sept. 5, 1927, he married Harriet Jurek, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Edward E. of South Bend, a daughter, Mrs. Dolores Gray of Lompoc, Calif.; three grandchildren. and one brother, Joseph Pukrop of South Bend.
. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with Rev. Casimir F. Grabarz, C.S.C., pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
