Obiluary

Jean Karole. McLean, 80, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at the Center for Hospice Care. Jean was born on December 10, 1939 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Clyde and Floy (Reinhart) Hollars Sr. and has been a lifelong resident of the area. Jean was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary 360 and was a devoted wife and mother.

In 1966, Jean married Frank Francis Puzynski, who preceded her in death in August, 1971. Later, on May 12, 1991 in Osceola, Indiana, she was united in marriage to Robert L. McLean Jr., who has also preceded her in death on January 20, 2014.

Jean is survived by her daughter, Frances Jean (Brian) Smith of Mishawaka, Indiana; two sons, Joe Puzynski of South Bend and Frank (Tina) Puzynski of Mishawaka; five grandchildren, Joseph Puzynski, Justine (Tommy) Alwine, Nicholas Valent, Nicole Valent and Franky Puzynski; many great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son, Dennis Freet and two brothers, Joseph Hollars and Clyde Hollars Jr. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Palmer Funeral Home - River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend with Chaplain Trevor Foley officiating. Friends may gather with the family from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
