Eleanor Bernice Bruce, 76, of South Brookfield Street, South Bend, Ind., died at 6:05 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, in Hospice House. She was born on Oct. 1, 1921, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. She was retired from the National Mill Supply Company. She was a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church and the Forever Learning Institute.Mrs. Bruce is survived by two daughters, Christine Bruce and Susan Sisk, both of South Bend; two sons, Larry (Helen) Bruce and Gary Bruce, both of South Bend; three grandchildren, Stacy (David) Nicodemus, Aaron Bertman and William Sisk, all of South Bend; and by a brother, Marion Zielinski of South Bend. She was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Norris; and by six brothers, George Zielinski, Clement Zielinski, Chester Zielinski, Louis Zielinski, Sylvester Zielinski and Joseph Zielinski. Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be said at 6 p.m. today. Services will be at 11 a.m on Monday in St. Adalbert Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637-3437.
