Douglas E. Bruce, 91, of Bremen passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Bremen Health Care Center. Doug was born on July 15, 1923 to Clarence and Helen Bruce in Mishawaka. In 1964, Doug married Marjorie Woltman; she preceded him in death. Doug worked well at local paper factories as a maintenance leader for much of his life; he also built his own home, twice. Doug was a WWII veteran and a lifetime member of the VFW. Doug is survived by four children, Sue Sisk, Christine Bruce, Larry Bruce, and Gary Bruce; a sister, JoAnn Humes; three step-children, Pat, Jim, and Nancy; and several grandchildren. A funeral service will held at 11 AM on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen. A burial will follow at 2:30 PM at Sacred Heart Cemetery in South Bend.
